VEF1600L is a 1600oC electrolytic furnace with two electrodes and max DC power up to 30VDC and 2000A.  The furnace accepts a large graphite crucible up to 8"ID x 15" in height.  It is an excellent tool for refining noble metals from molten salt under a controlled atmosphere.

Atmosphere controlled Furnace

  • Chamber size 410 mm x 410 x 500 mm (about 16" × 16" × 20"), 80 Liter
  • Atmosphere-controlled steel chamber for oxygen, inert gas, and vacuum conditions.
  • MoSi2 heating elements
  • Max. working temperature:  1600oC
  • Programmable temperature controller with +/- 1oC accuracy. 
  • Power :460VAC ( or 380V) +/- 10% , three phase, 26KW Max.

Eletrolyte Electrodes

  • Two water-cold electrodes with electric lifting machinery are installed on the top of the furnace with a 1000A max current rating.
  • Two 20 mm diameter electrodes consist of two parts: The Top is made of copper with a water cooling jacket, which will connect to the DC power supply, and the bottom is made of a solid graphite rod, which is inserted into crucble
  • One recirculating water chiller with 16L/minute flow is included for cooling the electrodes

The MTI One Year Limited Warranty does NOT cover

  • Consumable parts such as O-rings, crucibles, screws, washers, etc.
  • Any damage and rust resulting from improper storage or maintenance.
  • Any damages caused by the use of corrosive and acidic gases.
  • Any damage resulting from failing to adhere to the individual product's specific operation requirements, such as water cooling, venting, etc.
