Lithium polyacrylate (LiPAA) binder is a water-soluble polyacrylate with abundant functional groups. The carboxyl groups can form strong hydrogen bonds with both active material and current collector. It is widely used for slurry preparation of silicon-based anode material, LiFePO4, lithium sulfur battery and sodium ion battery electrode. Compared with Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) binder, the silicon anode using LiPAA binder has better cycling performance.
