Vacuum MSK-200-SH is an innovative tape casting coater to make a lithium film on copper foil. The coater uses a heatable slot-die and a fixed gap blade on a fixture with precision wheels. Lithium molten will be extruded into the heated slot-die, then cast the melt on the copper foil, which is sucked by the heated vacuum bed. The heated blade will scrape over the melt following the slot-die to form one sheet of precision lithium film after the casting fixture passes through the heated vacuum bed stably. This method may make 15 - 50 micron-thick lithium film in an Ar gas glovebox.

- The movable tape casting fixture includes a lithium melting vessel, a heatable slot die and a fixed gap blade, with 4 precision wheels, as shown in the picture on the left.

Application note
|
- We cannot guarantee that the customer will be 100% successful in coating the Lithium film. The customer must find the best parameters by themselves through experimentation
- Lithium molten wets with the substrate is very important. You use OZ cleaning ot plasma etching to pre-treat the substrate to improve wetting capability
- The device shall be used in a glovebox with an Ar atmosphere.
