Guide for Safety Inspection of GSL-KR200 Combustion Gas Module

GSL-KR200 is a combustion gas module to dispose of residual flammable gas via a self-ignition heating coil. It features gas flow rate control and communicates with Honeywell hydrogen gas detector for safety enhancement. It is highly recommended to perform inspection before each use.

Follow the steps below for proper inspection. For more details, please refer to the instructional video

1.    Turn on the power on both furnace and GSL-KR200
2.    Turn the knob to “H2’’and press Heat Ready Button on the furnace to test the outlet flowrate hydrogen checker
3.    Turn the knob to “inert” on GSL-KR200, and use a metal object to verify the Solenoid valve’s functionality
4.    Inspect the gas tube circuit and connections. Open each valve on the furnace and GSL-KR200
5.    Open and adjust the valve on the inert gas cylinder’s pressure gauge
6.    Adjust the flowmeter on GSL-KR200
7.    Perform leak detection by brushing bubble water on every gas tube connection/ gas tube fitting
8.    Purge the system for at least 15 minutes with inert gas
9.    Turn on the ignition switch to ensure that the burning torch works
10.    Place Honeywell hydrogen gas detector above GSL-KR200
11.    Adjust the flowmeter to 200mL/min
12.    Open the valve on the hydrogen cylinder’s pressure gauge while keeping the inert gas cylinder’s valve on
13.    Switch the knob on the GSL-KR200 to H2
14.    Observe the torch flames to confirm hydrogen combustion
15.    Close the hydrogen cylinder valve and switch the knob on the GSL-KR200 to “inert”
16.    Purge the system with inert gas for 15-30 minutes
