MSK-SFM-GB is a compact planetary ball mill with a separate control unit, which is designed to use inside the glovebox. The ball mill with four jars driven by a 24VDC motor can be located inside the Ar gas-filled glovebox and the control unit with a color touch screen is located outside the glove box via KF40 feedthrough. Four milling jars are optional from 50ml to 100 ml and can mill 4 kinds of material in the same time. It excellent ball mill for preparing air-sensitive or N2-sensitive powders.  High-throughput milling jars is available as option, which can mill 14 types of samples ( 10 ml max /each ) per batch.

Application Notes
  • SS304 mixing jar is suitable for grinding various metal materials
  • For milling oxide material, please choose alumina / Nylon jars and zirconia media. DO NOT USE stainless steel balls in Alumina jars. 
  • Must place 4 or 2 jars in symmetrical with similar weights in the ball mill to keep balance during rotation. If using one jar, another jar with the same weight must be put to the symmetrical position for counterweight. Otherwise, unbalance rotation may damage the machine, especially in the one-jar situation.
