OTF-1200X-S-MPECVD is a single zone microwave plasma enhanced CVD tube furnace. The system consists of a 600W microwave plasma generator, 1" or 2" O.D. quartz tube furnace and an anti-corrosive digital vacuum gauge. Microwave plasma showed potentials and possibilities for low temperature CVD processing, providing another method for efficiently nanoparticles coating / nanotube growth. 

Suitable applications and advantages:
- Higher degrees of ionization and dissociation help reduces the activation energy and enhances the kinetics to initiate a chemical reaction.
- Commonly used for conformal growth of carbon nanotubes (CNTs), conductive carbon or dimond like film on supporting substrates or particles.
- Suitable for processing electrical static discharge sensitive devices. This is a benefit of higher electrical field frequency and shorter electrons travel distances.

Warning

  • The tube furnaces with quartz tube are designed for using under vacuum and low pressure < 0.2 bars / 3 psi / 0.02 Mpa
  • Attention: A two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on the gas cylinder to limit the pressure to below 3 PSI for safe operation. Click here to learn the installation of a gas regulator.
  • Vacuum pressures may only be safely used up to 1000°C
