OTF-1500X-8Z  is an eight-zone tube furnace with a mullite tube and conventional flange working up to 1500°C.. Each SiC heating element is controlled by an independent temperature controller to create various thermal gradient for special processing in material research, such as gradient functional material, high-through phase transition re-crystallization, etc.

  • PID automatic control with 30 programmable segments for precise control of heating rate, cooling rate and dwell time in each channel

  • 8 pcs S-type thermocouples (one for each zone).
  • RS485 Communications Port to connect Laptop computer to show temperature profile.

Application Notes

  • The tube furnaces with mullite tubes are designed for use under vacuum and low pressure < 0.02 Mpa
  • Never use graphite crucible in alumina tube.
  • Attention: A two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on the gas cylinder to limit the pressure to below 3 PSI for safe operation. Please click here to learn the installation of a gas regulator. 
  • The flow rate for gases should be limited to < 200 SCCM ( or 200ml/min )
  •  Vacuum pressures may only be safely used up to 1300°C
