KSL-1700X-A1 is a bench-top high-temperature muffle furnace. The furnace consists of high-quality alumina fiber insulation and 1800 grade MoSi2 heating elements and it's controlled by high precision SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifier) and temperature controller with +/-1 °C accuracy and 30 programmable segments up to 1700 °C (3092 °F). It is an ideal tool for materials annealing and sintering in your research laboratory.

Temperature controller (optional)

  • MTS02-Y Temperature control software kit (for YD518P series controllers) + 15" laptop package is available at the options bar. Click for detail information about the MTS02-Y software kit. 
  • You may upgrade the temperature controller to the Eurotherm Controller to achieve 0.1ºC accuracy which is fully compatible with LabVIEW. This package includes a Eurotherm 3504 programmer, a communication cable (RS485 - USB) and a software CD. Laptop & software (Optional)
  • Brand new laptop with Microsoft Windows 11

Application Notes
  • Warning: MoSi2 heating element is used in the high temperature under the oxidizing atmosphere. It will form the SiO2  film which can keep the element from being melted. During the oxidizing process, the SiO2 protecting film is formed again when the element continues to be used. The MoSi2 heating element must not be used in the temperature between 400 °C and 700 °C for a long time, otherwise, the element will be cremated under the strong oxidizing function in the low temperature.
