GSL-1700X-60-II is a dual zones tube furnace. Each heating zone is 12" in length and controlled by two precision 30 segments digital temperature controllers independently. One zone is heated by MoSi2 elements up to 1700ºC, and another zone is heated by SiC element up to 1400ºC, So the tube furnace can create the various thermal gradient by adjusting the two-zone temperature. It is an excellent furnace to prepare functional materials under thermal gradient, and also can be used for epitaxial film growth by CVD or PVD with a vacuum system.

Fitting Ports

  • In order to increase the throughput and achieve high vacuum, you may replace the standard barbed hose fitting with the KF25 adapter, please click underline to order.
  • For supplying high-pressure gas, you may replace the standard barbed hose fitting with the VCR Face Seal Fitting, please click underline to order.

Temperature Control

    • PID automatic control via SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifier) power control 
    • 30 programmable segments for precise control of heating rate, cooling rate, and dwell time.
    • Built-in over-temperature alarm and protection allow for operation without the attendant.

    How to set up ceramic tube and vacuum flange for MTI Tube furnace

    Warnings

    • The tube furnaces with alumina tubes are designed for use under vacuum and low pressure < 0.02 Mpa 
    • Never use graphite crucible inside the alumina tube.
    • Vacuum pressures may only be safely used up to 1500°C. The flow rate for gasses should be limited to <200 SCCM (or 200mL/min) for reducing thermal shocks to the tube. 
    • Attention: A two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on the gas cylinder to limit the pressure to below 3 PSI for safe operation. Click here to learn the installation of a gas regulator
