GSL-1700X-II-VT-AF is a 1700oC Max. verticle tube furnace for Powder spherification.  The system consists of an automatic powder feeder on the top, a dual heating zone verticle tube furnace in the middle, and a sphere powder collector on the bottom.  The powder passes through the heating zone by gravity and changes into a sphere shape by sintering,  which is processed under a vacuum or controlled atmosphere. The powder spherification system is suitable for battery electrode powder, 3D printing of metallic powder, and some magnetic powder treatments.

Verticle Tube Furnace




  • Dual heating zone with 200mm L for each, 400 mm long in total, and independent temperature control
  • Max. working temperature: 1700ºC for each zone with +/- 1ºC accuracy.
  • Two B-type thermal couples installed
  • Two digital temperature controllers for two zones of independent temperature control
  • PID and auto-tune built in the controller with 30 segment programmable
  • D89 PC communication port is built in, but PC control software is optional.
  • Power:  208 - 240V AC, 50/60 Hz, and 7KW 
Processing tube

  • High purity alumina tube ( > 99.5%)
  • 60mm OD x 54mm ID x 1200 mm L

Sealing Flanges

  • The system is vacuum sealed with flanges and enables atmosphere controlled
  • Top flange connected with powder feeder and needle valve for the gas inlet.
  • The bottom flange is connected to an electric gate valve which is connected with the powder collector container
  • The KF25 vacuum port is built in for connecting an optional vacuum pump.

Gas Purification and Circulation
(Optional)

  • EQ-RMP-1 is an automatic recirculating moisture and oxygen purification system, which can provide an environment with moisture and oxygen concentrations lower than 1 ppm for MTI's furnaces and gloveboxes. 
  • Two columns of Molecular sieves are Built-in in the system. One is for removing oxygen and another is for removing moisture up to < 1 PPM
  • The automatic pressure control system is built in to keep the pressure at a constant level
  • 6" color PLC touch panel is included which can set and display the humidity and pressure level
  • Oxygen sensors and moisture sensors are included. 

Hermetic Quenching Tank
(Optional)

  • A hermetic quenching tank is optional for air-sensitive materials, which enables the entire quenching process under atmosphere control

Warning

  • Tube furnaces with quartz tube is designed for use under low positive pressure < 0.2 bars / 3 psi 
  • The flow rate for gasses should be limited to <  200 ml/min for reducing thermal shocks to the tube
  • Attention: A two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on the gas cylinder to limit the pressure to below 3 PSI for safe operation. Click here to learn the installation of a gas regulator.
  • Vacuum limit definition for all quartz tube furnaces: * Vacuum pressures may only be safely used up to 1000°C
