Furnace Structure

- Double-layer stainless steel structure for maximum vacuum and safety,
- Air-tight muffle is built-in with a water-cooling wall with dimensions 300 LX300W X 300H (mm), which can stand at positive pressure up to 0.06Mpa and vacuum up to - 0.09Mpa.
- High-purity porous alumina is built-in inside of the refractory alloy muffle as thermal insulation
- Water cooling front door and air cooling shell
- Built-in Pressure gauge, vacuum valves, and two gas flowmeters.
- The furnace be used with Inert gas or vacuum
- It also can be used with pure oxygen with the modified power connection. Please call us if you use oxygen.
- An SS310 alloy box inside the heating chamber with the dimension of 12x12x12" s is optional for getting better inert gas heat treatment ($3000)

Chamber Interior

- Five sides heating, e.g. left, right, bottom, back, and front, to achieve the best temperature uniformity than three sides heating.
- High-quality fibrous and porous alumina is used as the thermal insulation layers.
- Kanthal 1350°C grade Fe-Cr-Al resistance heating wire

The temperature controller (optional)

- MTS02-Y Temperature control software kit (for YD518P series controllers) + brand new laptop package is available at the options bar. Click for detailed information about the MTS02-Y software kit.
- You may upgrade the temperature controller to the Eurotherm Temperature Controller which is fully compatible with LabVIEW with +/- 0.1ºC accuracy. This package includes a Eurotherm programmer, a communication cable (RS485 - USB), and a software CD. Click the pic left to view the full spec of the Eurotherm temperature controller.

- Two larger flow meters are installed in the front panel of the furnace to allow two types of gas mixing and flowing at the same time

- One heavy-duty vacuum pump ( CE certified ) built-in bottom furnace.

Working Gases |
- All types of inert gases such as N2 and Ar at 0.03Mpa.
- Pure oxygen gas 0.03Mpa. but need modifying internal connection wire for anti-oxidation, please call us in advance if you use O2 gas
- Low vacuum 10-1 torr due to fibrous alumina insulation material. Using 5% H2 + Ar will improve oxidation during heating. For oxygen-sensitive material, please use a hydrogen furnace

Warning & Note
|
- The Max pressure of this furnace is 7.5 PSI 0.5 atm ). You must install a pressure regulator on your gas tank to avoid overpressure. Click here to learn the installation of a gas regulator.
- Corrosive gasses or materials that react with the FeCrAl alloy heating elements cannot be used in the furnace!
- Toxic, corrosive, or flammable gasses are not recommended for use with this furnace. Please consult with our engineering team for more details
- Please contact MTI engineerings whether your processes are compatible with this furnace. Graphite or carbon-based samples are not recommended to use.
