GSL-1500X-50-UL is a compact high temperature 2" O.D tube furnace using 99% High Purity processing tube and SiC heating elements as heating elements. Vacuum sealing assembly is included to connect with 1/4" gas hose. The temperature of GSL1500X tube furnace is controlled by high precision SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifier) digital controller with accuracy +/-1°C and 30 segments programmable up to 1500°C.

Alumina Process tube

  • 99.5% High Purity Alumina processing tube.
  • 2" (50.8mm) O.D x 1.65" (42mm) I.D x 27.6" (700 mm) Length.
  • Two fibrous ceramic tube blocks are included for blocking heat radiation from the inside tube.
    (Ceramic blocks must be fully inserted into the furnace chamber before heating)
  • Alumina Foam Block: 62 mm Diameter (one pair) for MTI's 70mm Dia Tube Furnace - EQ-F-T-block-62            

Vacuum Flange

Optional parts
  • One pair of SS 304 vacuum flange with double high-temperature silicone O-ring is Included
  • Two-needle valves with 1/4" pipe adapter are installed with the flange
  • 2" default flange with 1/4'' Bard fittings, 1/4'' tube feedthrough port (for 1/4" O.D thermocouple insert) and a KF25 vacuum portclick bottom right picture to see details )
  • One Vacuum/ pressure gauge is installed on one side of the flange
  • The angle valve is not included, please order at extra cost.
  • The vacuum level can reach 10-2 torr by a quality mechanical vacuum pump and 10-5 torr by a molecular pump.

  • NRTL(UL61010) or CSA certification is available at extra cost.
Attention Notes Performance degradation (i.e. furnace cannot reach the maximum temperature of 1500°C or it is drawing a higher than normal working current) can be expected due to the use of aged SiC heating elements. It is necessary to replace all the heating elements if the above symptoms were seen. Please order the replacements from the standard package list in below.

  • The tube furnaces with alumina tubes are designed for use under vacuum and low pressure < 0.02 MPa
  • Attention: A two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on the gas cylinder to limit the pressure to below 3 PSI for safe operation. Click here to learn the installation of a gas regulator.
  • The flow rate for gasses should be limited to < 200 SCCM ( or 200ml/min )
  •  Vacuum pressures may only be safely used up to 1500°C
