MSK-110-A is a bench-top automatic single channel assembling machine for CR2032 or other series coin cells with 20mm Dia. The machine can automatically complete the coin cell assembly process by assembling in sequence, injecting electrolytes, and sealing cells. It uses a servo motor to drive the sealing process, ensuring stable and reliable pressure. 
MSK-110-A is compatible with glove boxes or dry rooms.

Assembling Sequence for Coin Cell


  • For CR2032 coin cells, there are two assembling sequences are available (the positive assembling sequence is regarded as the default mode since Jan 2025):
    • Positive Assembling Sequence: "cathode case, cathode disc, separator, anode disc, spacer, spring, and anode case".            
    • Negative Assembling Sequence: "anode case, anode disc, separator, cathode disc, spacer, spring, and cathode case". 
    • Other series of coin cells are available upon request, please contact MTI for more information.
    • Different assembling sequences can be customized upon request.
Assembly Time
  • Approximately 40-65 seconds per cell (depends on the motor speed set)
Loading Method
  • Pre-load material manually, then assemble coin cell automatically

  • ±0.1mm accuracy
Assembling Accuracy
  • Better than ±0.5mm
Crimping Pressure
  • Crimping pressure adjustable
  • For the CR20 series coin cell, 500-700KG sealing pressure is recommended

Negative Assembling Sequence:
Pneumatic Pressure
  • Input air pressure should be 60-80 psi.
  • The connection tubing size is O.D. 8mm.
  • An air compressor is highly recommended for pneumatic actions, but not included. pls order it from MTI or local stores)
  • Note: If a gas cylinder is used instead of an air compressor(pic2), a two-stage pressure regulator(pic1) must be installed on the gas cylinder to limit the pressure within the required working range for safe operation. Click here to learn the installation of a gas regulator.
Injection Pump
  • Equipped with a peristaltic pump with adjustable Injection volume
Electrolyte Injector
  • One glass-made electrolyte injector is included
  • Capacity: 100ml Max.
  • Electrolyte injection times and position can be set in touch screen.
Crimping Die
  • CR2032 sealing die is included in the standard package, other sealing dies are available upon request
  • 5000 sealing times Max.
Operation Environment
  • If any oxygen or humidity sensitive substances are used (eg: Li metal anode, solid or liquid electrolyte), a glovebox or dryroom is required. 
  • Single-chamber glovebox VGB-6-LD should be considered, but dual-chamber VGB-6-II-LD will leave more spaces for operaiton.
Maintenance & Equipment Care

  • Electrolytes are highly corrosive materials; therefore, the die set must be cleaned with ethanol after each experiment to avoid any corrosion damage. 
  • Please be aware that MTI is not liable for any losses/damages resulting from improper use, care and maintenance, or abuse of the product.
