MSK-HRP-01 is a compact hot rolling cylinder press with a 100°C max working temperature for preparing battery electrodes(glove box compatible). The high torque DC motor is Ar gas compatible. It serves well in applications such as increasing the active material density of the electrode in Li-ion batteries research after coating.
Update Note: Since 11/25/2015, MSK-HRP-01 has been equipped with a 24V DC motor for safe operation in an Ar gas environment.

Important announcement (please read this before placing the order)
- The MSK-HRP-01 roller is specially designed for battery R&D in terms of its advantages as affordable, compact, and precise. Please strictly follow the instructions to operate
- Must use acetone to clean rollers' surface after each use
- Never rolling material with hardness > 50HRC
- If the machine will be idle for a long period of time, please apply anti-rust lubricant on the rollers
- The minimum thickness of the rolled sheet should depend on the physical properties of the material. Here are some results from our test:
- Please refer to this instruction on how to calculate rolling pressure from the roller gap (reference only)

Warnings |
- Do not touch the surface of the rolling part of the machine when the rollers are heated up or running.
- Due to the influence of working environments, the temperature on the roller surface may be different from the display on the controller. You may calibrate the temperature by EQ-TC-calibrator-LD, and refer to the instructions here from time to time to ensure heating temperature accuracy
- Never roll materials with hardness > 50HRC
- Multi-step thickness calendaring needed: While calendaring the sample sheet, make each calendaring decrement of 0.02mm compared with the sheet's original thickness.
- Never calendaring decrement over 0.02mmcomparing with original sheet thickness each calendaring.
- Heating beyond 100ºC may cause roller deformation and inaccuracy.
- To prolong the lifespan of the roller bearings, regular lubrication is recommended.
- Clean the roller surface for each rolling and Use acetone to clean and lubricate when not in use to avoid corrosion
- This rolling machine can be used under Ar gas
-
It is not allowed to use any MTI product in any hazardous location, especially prohibited from using in Class I environments (flammable gasses & vapor).
