MSK-T-07 is a compact precision disc cutter with 4 sets of cutting die ( 15, 19, 20, and 24 mm). It can be easily placed into a glove box with a transition chamber diameter larger than 230mm. This tool is manually operated and is designed for cutting round discs from battery electrodes or separator film (<30um). The resulting discs can be used as electrode/separator discs of the split test cell and coin cell for battery researchers.
MTI has granted the patent 201220296271.2 for the Coin Cell Disc Cutter MSK-T-07 since January 2013.

Cutting dies information |
Four sets of cutting die: 15, 19, 20, and 24 mm diameter are included in the standard package:
- 15mm (for electrode discs of CR20xx series coin cell cases)
- 19mm (for electrode discs of CR20xx series coin cell cases and CR2325 negative side cases)
- 20mm (for the electrode of CR2450 cell cases, CR2325 positive side, and separator discs of CR20xx series coin cell cases)
- 24mm (for electrode and separator discs of CR24xx series)
- Note: By using 24mm and 15mm die, you can prepare a 15mm ID x 24mm OD O-ring as a reference ring for a three-electrode split test cell ( The special 24mm OD X 15mm ID O-ring cutting die can be ordered in the options bar )
- Cutting dies are made of carbon steel which is sensitive to moisture. Always keep the cutting die dry and neat.

Application Notes |
- If you are going to make CR2016, CR2025 or/and CR2032 coin cell batteries, you will need at least three cutting dies:
- 15mm (for the negative side case, which is 16.5mm in diameter)
- 19mm (for the positive side case, which is 20mm in diameter)
- 20 mm (for the separator to fully separate the electrodes in both negative and positive cases)
- To cut a thin separator, please cut it together with an A4 paper for a better result
- For CR2450 coin cells, a 20mm cutting die can be used for cutting electrode discs and a 24mm cutting die can be used for cutting either electrode discs or separator discs
- Separator discs must be large enough to fully separate the positive and negative electrodes to avoid short-circuit inside the coin cells
- Warning: You must pay great attention to die change from one size to another. Misalignment will result in die damage. Please read the operation manual carefully when changing die. MTI is not responsible for the damage caused by mis operation. Strongly suggest buying several cutters with pre-installed die sets.
