QF-800 is a fast melting & quenching furnace under an air-tight chamber for studying super-cooling of materials

 Vacuum chamber & Hater
  • SS304 Vacuum Chamber: Ø315 mm×315 mm (inner dimension)
  • Resistance coil heater up to 800ºC
  • 14 mm ID quartz tube with 1 mm hole as melting crucible
  • 10 bar pressure inert gas ( helium suggested ) will inject molten materials into a bottom container with liquid gallium.
 Heating plate
 
 
  • One heating plate with magnetic stirring for liquid gallium is located at the bottom of the heater up to 200oC
  • Melting liquid will be dropped into the heated container with Ga for rapid cooling
