OTF1200XSVTQ is a small quenching tube furnace with an air-tight sealed 2" quartz tube and 1200ºC max. working temperature. An electro-magnetic fixture is installed on the top flange which hangs up a sample or crucible in the center of the heating zone. The electro-magnetic will release the heated sample automatically, and drop it quickly into the tank with quenching oil. The quartz tube is inserted into the quench tank to ensure airtight quenching by flowing inert gas.

Processing Tube

Air Sealing Flange and Electromagnetic Fixture
|
- One 2" water-cooling flange with pressure gauge and valves, as well as 1/4 gas inlet included (Pic. 1)
- One electromagnetic is built inside of the flange. (Pic. 2 )
- One thin high-temperature alloy wire is connected with a steel disc on the top and hangs up a crucible or sample at the bottom. (Pic. 3)
- When the user touches one button, the steel disc is released from the magnets, and then the sample is dropped into the quench tank for rapid cooling at a speed > 600C/ sec.(Pic. 4)

Water Chiller
|
- One water chiller is included for cooling the flange ( click picture left to order )
- Also, it can be used to cool quench oil at < 10oC to achieve faster quenching
- Note: If your sample is not sensitive to oxygen or water, Ice water can be used as quenching media t achieve faster cooling
